Every fourth of July we celebrate our independence from Great Britain. The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, 1776, which announced that the thirteen American colonies, then at war with Great Britain, claimed themselves as independent sovereign states and no longer considered themselves a part of the British Empower. Instead, they formed the United States of America.
What do you want to declare independence from?
What forces in your life do you feel oppressed or limited by?
Who or what is holding you back from your freedom and independence? Maybe it’s an aspect of yourself?
What does independence mean to you?
For the month of July, we are focusing on declaring our independence. If you were to write your own Declaration of Independence, what would you include?
