Celebrating Self-Love

Some days we need to celebrate self-love. We need to celebrate it for ourselves and others who have lost their way.  We need to celebrate the moments where we stop and just take in every thing around us, from the bees to the swaying trees.

One thing that has played true in my life is that life boils down to choices.

Today, I am choosing to celebrate self-love, for all of the times I didn’t when I was deep in my eating disorder, depression and addiction.

Today, I am choosing to celebrate self-love because we are losing so many people to gun violence, suicide, drugs and alcohol.

Today, I celebrate self-love because when prompted and accepted people can forgive themselves for a miscarriage to driving drunk and getting a DUI to someone being afraid to express their sexuality.

Today, I celebrate self-love because it has been a light, a beacon and a necessary tool that has been created, spread and announced itself as a movement via twitter, Facebook and Instagram, raising awareness for others to see and crave the same exact thing.

Today, I celebrate self-love for myself because at times I wanted to disappear, but didn’t.

I think  I realized how powerful love is. Not just any love, but Self-Love. In my Self-Love  Journey it has become an everyday thing next to brushing my teeth and reading my bible. For me, self-love involves my day-to-day choices. And Somedays, I really do need to stop, breath and embrace self-love to just simply Celebrate self-love.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness. But, above all else, choose Self-Love!

Radically Love,
