One of my favorite Self-Love Diet tips is: “Pay attention and challenge your thoughts.”
This is so important, actually it’s crucial. This reminder requires you to pay attention to how you are feeling and thinking and reminds you to challenge negative thoughts with self-care and self-love! Especially during those “Dark days;” we all have them.
This idea of not radically roaring back at things that can stop us in our tracks usually happens when we stop paying attention to our thoughts.
Some days there will be a voice in your head that tells you that you are not good enough. I want you to challenge that thought. I want you to say, “I AM GOOD ENOUGH.” Replacing these negative thoughts sometimes is all the Self-Love you can do for yourself. You repeat it until you believe it, or until that thought is not on your mind.
Tell yourself, “I am having a feeling or thought, and now I am not going to allow it to ruin my day or keep me down.”
I am here to remind you all that YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK! You can roar louder than any obstacle or lion you might face.
Sometimes we do know that we are feeling, and sometimes we don’t even want to acknowledge what we are feeling. Listen carefully, owning your feelings is very important. Once you own them you can begin to process them.
Know that a setback doesn’t mean something bad is going to happen. It can be the platform for something great to happen.
Look at it this way, if I had allowed my negative thoughts and behaviors, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
“You’re allowed to scream, you’re allowed to cry, but do not give up. ” – Unknown
This is me telling you that you will get there. This is me telling you that if are not roaring back now, you will be before you know it.
