We need to constantly remind ourselves that Self-Love begins with ourselves. Three important key factors that I have learned recently:
1) Self-Love comes with time.
2) Self-Love begins with Self-Care.
3) Others see the Self-Love you display.
When someone sees you radically loving yourself, maybe they will begin to crave that as well.
Now that I’m slowly approaching graduating from eating disorder treatment and I’m on this new path of promoting Self-Love, I feel like I found my purpose. I feel that the power of Self-Love Needs to be promoted – from radically roaring back at that things that held me back to all around just truly loving who am I and who I am becoming. We live in a broken society, but I am here to to tell you that we don’t have to stay broken.
My life would not have been the same if I didn’t begin to love myself. We all face challenges. I have learned that it is what you do with those challenges that impact you.
It is so powerful to see someone overcome any addiction or mental illness ailment.
I was talking about this the other day. Not everyone can go out and speak about how their lives are ruined because of an eating disorder.
If you asked me today how I deal with the thoughts of “I am not good enough,” I would tell you as a person who was once there for almost 2 years: every day I don’t go back to what I once knew, every day I fight, every day I hold my head up high and every day I do something for me that my eating disorder did not allow me to do. That’s how I tackle my eating disorder!! Most of all, I use Self-Love to drive out those thoughts. I use Self-Love to not just get me by, but to help others get by as well!
Just a reminder! There is hope. There is always hope. Please Hold on to that! You deserve the kind of love you would give someone else.
