Today, we need to reclaim our lives! You know how you do that? You fight back. You freaking roar back!
Self-Love is about being present and learning to love yourself for who you are. It’s about rediscovering yourself and experiencing new things. Self-Love is about finally living your life to the fullest.
I want us to be aiming to live in a society where Self-Love drives away suicide, addiction, eating disorders, low self-esteem and anything else that keeps us as a society from thriving. We need to be a society that promotes love and not hate, that it internally starts within us.
So when that despair, loneliness or depression comes knocking or even roaring, you can roar as loud as you need.
Tell yourself every day, every day you don’t listen to that “voice” that tells you that you aren’t good enough, YOU ARE A WARRIOR. Tell yourself every day you roll out of bed and attempt at life a little more each day, YOU ARE A WARRIOR!! Tell yourself every day that you choose to love yourself a little more, YOU ARE A WARRIOR. Tell yourself everyday that every day you choose recovery a little more, YOU ARE A WARRIOR!!! Tell yourself everyday that YOU ARE A WARRIOR. Not just any Warrior, but YOU ARE A SELF-LOVE WARRIOR!!!!
Having an eating disorder, an addiction, or any other mental illness doesn’t define you. Repeat, it doesn’t define you. It is something you suffer from and something you can overcome! It is something you can look in the face and roar back at!
In order to run free, I had to shed shame. I had to ROOOOOOAAAAAARRR back! My Recovery is that Freedom! Self-Love is how I got there.
SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO LOOK YOUR LION IN THE FACE AND ROOOOOOAAAAAAARRRR BACK!
