The body path for self-love for me in THIS moment is allowing myself to push aside my mental to-do list (you know… the “I should do this or get that done and be more productive”)… and instead just relax, breathing in self-love and breathing out gratitude. I’m grateful that I can simply be in this moment, light a candle, turn on some music, pet my sweet kitten who is cuddled in my lap while I am drawing a picture. Self-love allows me to take in my body’s awareness of the sound of music I am listening to, the taste of the green tea latte I am sipping on, the feel of my purring kitten snuggling close to me, the smell of the candle burning sweet vanilla, and the sight of the picture I just began sketching, or the dancing candle flames. I am forever grateful for my body’s infinite, amazing capabilities and its forgiveness and ability to grow strong despite the torture Anorexia put every part of my being through. Self-love allows me to accept and rejoice that my body is happy and strong, and so am I. I am a beautiful strong survivor. ❤
