I LOVE that I have come around to asking directly for what I want! I almost always try to ASK for what I want if it requires asking, and understand that it’s the other person’s right to say no, and not take that personally. But I love that I am willing to ask, even though I am often EXTREMELY shy feeling and just have to pretend that it doesn’t bother me, gives me butterflies, and I just FAKE being okay asking for things I want! It’s allowed me to have experiences I would not otherwise have had, friendships I would not otherwise have had, and be involved in projects that I find worthwhile. Sometimes you get what you want if you don’t ask, but if you DO ask, or the equivalent, you increase your chances of getting what you ask for! It has been hard getting myself to this place, but I am VERY glad I am here!!!!
