No time to stop, just checking in. I’ve been up all night surfing the web for material to share on my queer publication’s social media and I’m invigorated by what I’ve found. It’s incredible! Queer graffitti! A webcomic called “Zen Pencils”! Rainbow food! Art of all shapes and sizes! And what’s more, I know people are listening. It’s a handful compared to a few of the other more popular publications I follow, but there’s something in knowing that when I speak I am heard.
I guess, then, this isn’t a self-love post in the sense that “I need self-love,” but maybe me trying to show what happens when a person has the courage to love themselves. I’m seen, I’m heard, and I’m absolutely elated for it. I almost didn’t write this post tonight, but I’ve been lax in my regular posts and I didn’t want to let myself down again tonight. It’s just…there’s so much amazing stuff out there on the Internet and I know how to find it. I can ferret out webcomics and recipes and interviews from queer artists if I just allow myself to fall far enough down the rabbit hole and I really don’t want to stop.
I’m proud of myself. I’m proud of the things I love and I’m proud that my passion drives me to share it with others.
