So today, I want to say that I love my own quirky, weird, sometimes dry, sometimes bizarre sense of humor and the mix of contexts I base it on. A lot of the things I find amusing are plays on context, puns, seeing things differently than they were intended, etc, and it brings me a lot of joy, whether others get it or not, most of the time. Things strike me as funny, like ads where the models are emoting some very different message from what the advertisers intended, or from viewing, say, a soap dispenser as a vulture crouching over your hands. I find it extremely funny that when I am on Bart, I am amused that everyone is on their smart phones in the same five square feet of space so as to block each other out, meanwhile the social event I am at, we are all on our smart phones inside of five square feet of space as a way to connect closer to each other. My humor brings me a lot of joy, a lot of painting ideas, and enriches my experience of the world around me, as I live inside of five different contexts at any given moment.
