Dear LW Community,
This is day 6 of the challenge and today my literal challenge was to sit with my emotions and how it is very difficult for me to not be “doing.” Today I was very ill due to Lyme Disease and my brain was fogged and I was having difficulty even constructing sentences. I got frustrated with myself and was mad that I was not able to efficiently produce work as I have been able to do which seems like forever. I had to practice letting my anger go through me and practiced telling myself over and over that I was not stupid and am in fact smart. I had to tell myself this throughout the evening and late night as I was still not able to function. My act of self love was acknowledging just like the work I do with others with eating disorders, teaching and helping client’s see that the eating disorder is a seperate part of their entity, so is the Lyme Disease within me. This helped me calm down and re-fouces my attention.
As an act of self love today I let myself take a nap rather than pushing through as my body told me it was a must. I listened to the critical voice within and thanked it for its message and that self-care and listening to my soul self was the most healing thing to do. I know that my challenge will be to sit in the unknown and not doing space-and within this I will be “doing” the most of all.
With love and light,
