It has been a number of years since I’ve been actively and consciously practicing self-care. And I love that having my life be happy and stable has been important enough that I keep at it, even when the seductive traps of other people’s problems and opinions beckon. I LOVE myself for practicing detachment of my SELF from others’ opinions, and for recognizing when I’m getting a little emotionally imbalanced and taking steps to take care of myself with as much patience and self-love as I can muster. Eventually, I get better again, and I love myself for keeping on keeping on.
