Today, I love my self-awareness! I am powering through a big project and my self-awareness reminds me to take care of myself. I start feeling a little not-great and I notice that and check in with myself – “What do I need right now? OH! I bet I need to eat!” “What is up now…something’s not right? OH! I am physically uncomfortable…I am COLD! How about a hot bath? Yeah!” All day long my self-awareness has been helping me pay attention to my body, which will help me take care of myself and will thus help me continue to power through this project! I love that I listen to myself enough to take care of these things, instead of blowing off my discomfort in favor of soldiering through without breaks. It makes me much happier with myself! And I know in the long run I’ll be much more productive!
