Good Morning, Afternoon and Evening, 🙂
The thoughts that begin our day can make a huge impact on how the rest of our day plays out.
The Self-Love Diet Tip for the 10th day of the 31-Day Self-Love Diet Writing Challenge is to begin your day with love.
One person participating in the 31-Day Self-Love Diet Writing Challenge, Tathra, begins her day with repeating her “I love myself” mantra. Last year, I used to begin my day with smiling. While still laying in bed, before I got up, before I let any thoughts enter my brain, I smiled.
Sometimes my mom will wake up and begin her day by going to the music section of the Love Warrior Community, and she’ll listen to upbeat and inspiring songs to start her day.
When I was training for a half marathon with my sister Kristina, I’d start the day by waking up groggily, answering the door at around 5:40am to see my sister, and we’d go for a run before she went to work. Running to me is relaxing and energizing.
I used to wake up and do Qigong with my mom as our first act of the morning.
At one point, my mom was listening to her body love guided meditation to start her morning.
In my mom’s self-love post, “Self-Love Diet Tip #8: Look Into Your Eyes,” she talked about the action of complimenting yourself and the act of looking into your eyes to see your worth, not at your face or at your eyes, but looking into your eyes. Her self-love post, “Self-Love Diet Tip #1: The Art of Complimenting Yourself” goes further into the act of complimenting yourself.
There are a lot of ways that you can start your morning with love, listing what you’re grateful for is another way.
Each January, my mom and I like to promote the work of Daylle Deanna Schwartz and the pledge she promotes: a pledge for people to commit to loving themselves for the month of January.
If you visit her website, you can participate in the self-love pledge, along with the 4,842 people who have also pledged to love themselves.
This can be a self-love action you take today. You can make the pledge here.
You can also download her book, How Do I Love Me? Let Me Count the Ways, for free here.
There are a lot of ways that you can begin your day with love. The Love Warrior Community also has a lot of resources.
If you visit the Love Warrior Community and hover over Explore, you’ll see Writing, Positive Images, Art, Music and Video. If you click on Art, Music, Video and Positive Images, you’ll be directed to a directory of body positive, self-love inspired songs, videos, art and images. If you hover over Positive Images, you’ll see three galleries you can look through, Non-Airbrushed Real People Portrait Gallery, LWC Photography Gallery and LWC Quote Image Gallery. If you hover over Writing, other categories will pop up: Poetry, Body Love Letters, Body Forgiveness Letters and Short Fiction.
If you search through Explore, you could start your day with a self-love inspired video, song, image, art piece or reading.
If you hover over Submit, you’ll see how you can submit your self-love inspired music, video, art, photos or writing to be added to the Love Warrior Community.
I’d love to know what actions you take to add more love into your life each day.
