Dear Love Warrior Community,
For my self love practice today I allowed myself to do some work I had to with the intention of putting my heart and focus into truly being present. Being present and aware of myself is one of the greatest acts of self love I can give myself as well as being present with those I love. I allowed feelings to move through me that were difficult and allowed myself to be present of my body and its process with a curious mind and non-judgement. Today I allowed myself to take a walk in nature, allowing myself to take in the fresh air and love surrounding me from animals that crossed my path to the very plants and trees I saw. Today I allowed myself to grieve the loss of a relationship knowing that this will create room for something more; something needed in my life. Today I created space to ask for support and encouragement from a mentor and in the process learned about her experiences with relationships which helped shape and change my perspective. Today I allowed myself to stay still and watch a movie. I had forgotten for a while how good it felt to laugh. Today I thanked those I have the opportunity and gift of counseling into my heart-celebrating their lights and gifts. Today I honored the moment.
Today I witnessed my strength and insight into my own process and was aware that I am blessed to be as conscious as I am, even though at times it does not feel great. I realized how lucky I am to be a therapist and think, feel and move around the world as I do. Love and light.
