Practice Makes Easier

I amaze myself! Sometimes things are really difficult to learn: A new job, different skill sets, learning new habits and new ways of doing things. But you know what? I have faith in myself that if I make time to practice and put the work in, even the hard things get easier. Because I did the work, I learned how to breathe bilaterally when swimming, which I must remind myself was REALLY DIFFICULT when I started and I despaired of ever doing it without a heap of effort! I caught myself doing it without thinking about it last week and loved myself for it, and for persisting. I also learned my new job skills to where I can be left alone now, even though that was really difficult and again I despaired of ever getting it, and I also learned how to paint and draw amazingly fast because I did it a lot in the last year. These are all things I despaired and doubted that I could do and I can now do them so much easier than I ever would have thought. I am going to cut out those middlemen of Despair and Doubt and go straight to AWESOME FAITH in myself! I love myself and I CAN get to a point where anything I do comes more easily than not, if I just keep doing it, no matter how difficult it might seem when I start out.
