This is day one of my challenge and I have been wanting to do something like this for a while. Something like acknowledging my own strengths, experiences, and heart. Acknowledging my heart. My heart aches many times as I reminisce some endured experiences, however the strength of my sensitivity to pain, only reminds me of how greatly I feel joy, happiness, and especially love. Love. “all you need is love”…yes, but many people dismiss love for lust, envy, and greed. I have greatly felt untainted love many times, which has left me vulnerable to painful loss, betrayal, and hate. Hate. Does hate negate love, or does it only wrap its arms around it to protect it from the deceptive view of unbearable feelings of hurt? However, I am extremely grateful for all. Grateful for all of the darkness and light that has pierced through my heart and allowed space for compassion, understanding, and sometimes acceptance of life’s adventures. I have a long way to go. A long way to love myself unconditionally, as I hope to do with many in my life. But I know I am closer today than I was yesterday and the day before and so on. I dedicate this day to my journey of self-love and others who struggle acknowledging their strengths and heartfelt experiences, some more painful than others, but never less than. I dedicate this post to my body, heart and soul…and by doing this I am loving others who I am blessed with on my journey, past, present and future, more deeply, authentically, and more beautifully.
