My body is awesome! It’s not anyone else’s but my own, and it gets me around this crazy awesome life, with its ups and downs, with remarkably little effort on my part most of the time. The shape and size of it is not important, because I love it no matter its shape and size, because it allows me to be where I need to be. It’s a vehicle for my getting my thoughts down on canvas and paper and computer in paint and word and allows me to hop in a car and go see the people I love. It can embrace and be embraced by the people I love, too, and it allows me to sing and dance when I feel like it, no matter how well I sing or dance at any given moment. It gives me the movement I want to exist in the world in three dimensions, to share experiences with others and to give me access to different experiences I couldn’t have if I were only a being of mind and spirit. I am so grateful for all that and I love my body!!
