31-Day Self-Love Writing Challenge, 2014

Every January we begin to reflect over the past year and set goals for the new year. When thinking of your goals or new year resolutions for 2014, think about the following question:

How would your life be different if you loved yourself and your body?

Self-love doesn’t come from a number on the scale, it comes from within ourselves.

How would your life be different if you loved yourself and your body?

The above question may be difficult to imagine. We each are on our own self-love journey, and becoming conscious of that journey is a gift.

Once we open our eyes to how self-love impacts us and realize where we are in our journey towards loving ourselves, we can then take deliberate actions to foster self-love and acceptance and to let go of self-hatred or self-critical thoughts.

For the past three years, the Love Warrior Community has hosted the Daily Self-Love Writing Challenge where we commit to write self-love posts on the Love Warrior Community’s group blog, Self-Love Warrior, to help us consciously think and act lovingly towards ourselves.

2014 marks our fourth year of the 31-Day Self-Love Writing Challenge. Fun Fact: As of last year, January not only marks the beginning of a new year, but January is also officially Self-Love Month.

How would your life be different if you loved yourself and your body?

You can find out by developing a self-love practice, and you can use the 31-Day Self-Love Writing Challenge as a starting point, and the Love Warrior Community as your support system.

Like previous years, my mom and I will be participating in the 31- Day Self-Love Writing Challenge. Unlike previous years, we will also be writing more blog posts to help supplement the 31-Day Self-Love Writing Challenge, offering you daily self-love writing prompts and Self-Love Diet tools to help you develop your own self-love practice during Self-Love Month.

I’m excited for the 31-Day Self-Love Challenge, and I’m looking forward to consciously fostering more self-love in 2014.
