Taking It Easy

A-Camp Heartthrobs

I was away on a magical mountain filled with lovely queer human beings this past Wednesday through Sunday. I went to Autostraddle’s A-Camp to write about it for Curve magazine. Influenced by A-Camp, a whole bunch of self-love revelations and growth has occurred this past week, which I’ll share more on here later, as well as on Curve.

When I was traveling back home, I felt sickness tickling up my throat, and as of yesterday, it consumed my entire body. Feeling tired is an understatement.

I have a growing list of work duties that have been pressuring my mind, but I’ve only had a couple of deadlines these past two days, so – I took it easy.

I listened to my body. I didn’t ruminate over unwanted and overly critical thoughts. I’ve been taking care of myself, going out in nature and mingling leisurely with strangers at coffee shops to make my work deadlines (more daily human interaction was one A-Camp revelation).

Tonight I’ll continue to take it easy & I’ll continue to take care of myself.

  1. I’m glad you’re listening to your body, that is an ongoing practice! I also agree with you that daily human interaction is important. I would categorize it as the Relationship Path to the Self-Love Diet!
