Thank you Lis

I want to thank my friend Lis for being an extraordinary friend. Sometimes I think we take people for granted, people that love us and hope the best for us. Self-love is a journey that ought to be filled with company that loves you. Surrounding oneself with people that are well intentioned and truly care about you is crucial to one’s happiness. When an unconditional friend comes to your life, a friend that makes you laugh, makes you a better person, and recognizes how strong you are, do not let them go. This friend of mine Lis allows me to see my full potential. She never lets me feel weak and she is one of the most adventurous people I have ever met. We love to dance, talk, do our nails, go to the gym, watch Girls, listen to music, cook together, and have little adventures! Lis might not always be in my life but I know that through the years our friendship will become stronger. Self-love is not about just yourself it’s about acknowledging that other people love you because you’re unique and beautiful. We all feel loneliness and solitude in our lives and we forget that there are people who think about us and wonder how we are. Reach out to them, do not be scared and thank, thank that friend of yours that you truly appreciate them and love their company. Thank them for being there through thick and thin. Thank them for supporting you and for encouraging you to love yourself more everyday!

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are charming gardeners who make our souls blossom – Marcel Proust

Here is a bit about me: Name is Wuisa! I’m a nonconformist nomad, adventurer and seeker of pleasure. A twenty-one-year-old explorer. In search of those petit unforgettable blissful moments in life. Born in Bogotá, Colombia in the Andes Mountains where fall-like weather is eternal. I’m in my last semester of college at Randolph College in vintage Lynchburg, Virginia, taking 20.5 academic credits. An Environmental Studies major with a minor in French. I love to stay busy and go for long distance runs in the forest. If sunbathing naked were a sport, I would have countless gold medals. I find Ayn Rand’s views on objectivism brilliant, and I think Chuck Palahniuk is a creative genius. I am obsessed with Frida Kahlo‘s paintings and Pablo Neruda’s Poems. In my spare time, I write poetry, cook and watch foreign films. I promise you this, one day I’m going to stop whatever I’m doing, buy a ticket to Paris, then buy a ridiculously expensive camera and sleep in a tent near the Eiffel Tower. Never forget inspiration is endless. Pas.
