An act of self-love I took last night and today was listening to my body and allowing myself to do less, so I could do what I needed to do in a more relaxed and stress free environment today. An act of self-love I took last night was turning off all of my alarm clocks so I could sleep in today until my body was ready to wake up. An act of self-love I took today was taking ibuprofen and drinking two glasses of water when I woke up in pain, and then allowing myself to go back to sleep. An act of self-love I took today after waking up a second time was going in the hot tub, having a light breakfast and then going back to sleep again to let my body rest more and to help relieve my shoulder and back pain. An act of self-love I took today was thinking about my energy levels, where I wanted them to be, considering the breakfast options for myself, and taking the time to make myself a delicious and satisfying breakfast that would give me the energy that I wanted for the day. An act of self-love I took today was turning on a song that uplifts me while I was making my breakfast so I could start my day with a positive focus. An act of self-love I took today was looking at my part in a situation that I’m not satisfied with and thinking about the actions I can take to make it a satisfying situation. Another act of self-love I took today was letting go of my frustration associated with this situation. Once I did that my morning began to feel a lot better. 🙂 An act of self-love I took today was thinking about some of the work that I need to get done today with love, joy and excitement, instead of with the resistance, frustration, exhaustion and defeat I have been viewing it with off and on this past week. An act of self-love I took today was taking my adderall pill when I woke up for the 3rd time, the start of my day, when my original thoughts around taking it the first time I woke up were – “Maybe I should stop taking it altogether,” even though I know it helps me and have work deadlines to meet today. An act of self-love I took today was reading some self-love posts that were submitted last night and today, and it was a wonderful energy that they brought into my morning. 🙂 An act of self-love I’m going to take right now – I’ll drink some water and get into positive work focus mode, and I’ll let myself relax into it and enjoy it. 🙂 – Emelina Minero
