My Self-Love Diet offers many gifts. One of these gifts is the ease with which I am now able to invite love into my life.
The day my book was officially published, I had many emotions. My sadness was confusing until I realized I was feeling sad because I could not celebrate with my mother who died in 2008. I believe in the ability to connect with our loved ones who have passed on, and I believe that my mother knows my book is published and is celebrating with me on the spiritual plane. I also am aware that I wanted an “alive mother” to celebrate with me. So I did the next best thing. I called my Mom’s sister, my Aunty Thelma. I left a message on her answering machine, letting her know that I was missing Mom, and wanted to celebrate my accomplishment with her.
I received the best voice message back. It’s one of those messages that I hope you have received, which you keep so you can listen to it over and over again.
Each time I listen to it, my heart opens and warms, a smile comes to my face and sometimes tears come to my eyes. It’s a keeper!
There are many ways to bring love into your life. Just like I can replay my Aunty Thelma’s message, I invite you to replay those memories that brought love into your life. By remembering them and staying with the memory until you feel the love in your body, you can have an “instant replay” of love whenever you want it!
There are three days left for the Self-Love Challenge. I invite you to share your Self-Love experiences, thoughts and intentions with the Love Warrior Community by submitting your writing here.
