There are risks when you try something new. These risks vary, for example, if you eat Indian food for the first time, there is the risk you might hate it (although I think it’s delicious). Or maybe you decide to ski. Well, you risk falling and possibly hurting yourself. Bottom line, when you do something for the first time there always exists a risk; you might not enjoy it or you might get hurt.
So, you can choose to sit at home or get out and live it up! I’ve never written a blog before, and truth is, I’m terrified. I’m scared that it might not be very good. I’m scared that no one will be interested.
So, after a few days of thinking what to write about and how to make it amazing, I decided on just going for it. So this is it. My first entry, and I’m going to dare you to try something new. To stop thinking and do something different in your daily routine. If it’s trying honey with your cup of coffee ( I recommend it), wearing something sexy and a little out of the ordinary, or going skydiving. It doesn’t matter, just do it.
It’s easy to take the shortcut and not dare to explore. The long road with the scenic route might actually be exactly what you wanted and you didn’t even know it. I think society today wants us to sit in front of the television all day. I think that some people have the potential of making amazing things happen. Maybe being comfortable is not always the best way to live life. Maybe doing something daring, something positive for yourself will let you see that, that there are better things to do rather than watch the next episode of Family Guy or the Kardashians.
I’m starting this blog and I’m going to write about personal experiences, and even though I’m a little afraid, I won’t let that stop me because life is too short. La vida es un Ratico means Life is a short moment by Juanes.

Here is a bit about me: Name is Wuisa! I’m a nonconformist nomad, adventurer and seeker of pleasure. A twenty-one-year-old explorer. In search of those petit unforgettable blissful moments in life. Born in Bogotá, Colombia in the Andes Mountains where fall-like weather is eternal. I’m in my last semester of college at Randolph College in vintage Lynchburg, Virginia, taking 20.5 academic credits. An Environmental Studies major with a minor in French. I love to stay busy and go for long distance runs in the forest. If sunbathing naked were a sport, I would have countless gold medals. I find Ayn Rand’s views on objectivism brilliant, and I think Chuck Palahniuk is a creative genius. I am obsessed with Frida Kahlo‘s paintings and Pablo Neruda’s Poems. In my spare time, I write poetry, cook and watch foreign films. I promise you this, one day I’m going to stop whatever I’m doing, buy a ticket to Paris, then buy a ridiculously expensive camera and sleep in a tent near the Eiffel Tower. Never forget inspiration is endless. Pas.
