Listening To My Body

I biked again today. I biked to fax something, and then I biked to Jamba Juice to change my work environment and to enjoy a delicious peanut butter mood. 🙂

I also slept in today, which makes a full night of sleep for two nights in a row. I’m smiling as I write this because that’s a huge accomplishment for me. It’s not often that I allow myself to get a lot of sleep or consistent sleep. This past week I have been making conscious decisions that have allowed me to go to sleep earlier and to wake up when I wake up.

Two things noted:

I have heartburn consistently, and it hurts and it’s uncomfortable.

I’ve also noticed an occasional ringing in my ears, and sometimes how I hear things gets altered, and it sounds like things are either muffled or heightened. This ringing and change in my hearing has become more frequent this past week.

I’m writing this down so I can remember to call the doctors or whoever the hearing specialists are so I can get my hearing checked out.

I also don’t want to experience or worry about heartburn anymore, so I’ll research online which foods, drinks and habits cause it and make an effort to not eat, drink or do whatever causes it.

On a more positive note:

My shoulders have been more tense lately, which is positive because tomorrow I’m going to call a local massage place to schedule a deep tissue massage. I have a gift certificate for one, and it’s time for me to use it. 🙂

I also just spent the past half an hour or so researching local Reiki masters, and I contacted one about being taught Reiki level 1 & 2.

I was in Palm Springs a little over a week ago and before I left I got my first Reiki attunement from Earl Nissen at this wonderful place called Crystal Fantasy. After the attunement I felt absolutely wonderful. I felt warm, and like my entire body was vibrating. I felt energy extending 3 to 4 inches from my entire body. I felt light, relaxed, open, carefree and extremely happy. I felt extremely open, comfortable and at peace.

I want to feel that more and I want to be able to cultivate it myself, thus – I want to get trained in Reiki. 🙂

A self-love action for this moment:

My shoulders still feel tense, so once I publish this post, I’m going to step away from the computer, stretch, do some Qigong and deep breathing, and then I’ll do a little more work on my mom’s website & go to sleep early again. 🙂
