So I’ve decided that I want to make some positives changes in my life. What I ultimately want to do is to love myself, and to have happiness in my life. Happiness has been in my life but I feel as if more is possible. I want 2013 to be the first year that I do not commit any type of self-harm. I used to cut myself and struggled with an eating disorder. I’ve been good to myself for the most part but I slip up. In December 2012 I had my first cutting slip up in about a year. It was very minor compared to my past, but it was a slip up none the less. I also stress myself out with my responsibilities and don’t eat enough, or enough healthier foods. I think that this blog/community will be a great stepping stone in accomplishing my self goals. I admire this site so much. So to start I’m viewing my body in a positive way. Ignoring the scars and seeing the beauty in my curves and color of my skin. I’ve come to really like my eyes. These are big accomplishments for me. Everyone is different and a lot of media show women in terrible ways. I’ve also looked into having healthy snacks on hand so when I don’t have time to cook a good meal I have something delicious and nutritious to eat. I have a good feeling about this year.
