It has been about a week since I posted and I am just now getting a chance to open up my computer and write. What a curious and expansive question to explore, what would love do. I have found this to be my motto over the past couple of years…asking myself throughout the day what would love do? I often find that this helps with self-judgement, stress, and it helps me drop down into my soul self when I really need it.
I have spent the past 3 days immersed at the annual EDRS eating disorder conference for 2012. It was a fabulous and wonderful experience. I found my mind pondering upon the lessons and new-found knowledge acquired. I often experienced bursts of great passion and love for my fellow colleagues and soul sister in the room. I found myself asking myself what would love do!? Love would surround myself with these types of women in the room. Love would embrace the concepts of self love and HAES (Health at every size) and dance around in my body free and lovingly. Love would stand up in front of a crowd of people at the conference and hula hoop and dance with my other soul sister even though I was feeling self conscious. Love would embrace my love for these women and be present!
Love would encourage me to introduce myself to others and greet and meet others’ family members and babies:):):) Love would celebrate in happiness in delight that I am now a professional in this field helping those recover from eating disorders. Love recognizes how hard and diligent I have been in my own healing work to heal from anorexia and bulimia nervosa to be where I am now. Love would experience love—and trust my intuition and boundaries.
I also had to set some personal boundaries for myself this weekend. This was very hard for me, but I did it!!! This is what love would do! Love respects myself and my boundaries. Love is respectful to set boundaries in a loving way and state my truth. Love sees that that I have so much to give–and I do–and love really sees the importance in giving more love back to myself.
What would love do for you?
Blessings and love,
