Today was a really hard day for me. I had my first real experience of having a family member of one of the client’s I see project many negative things onto me, followed by a huge flood that took me 40 extra minutes to get to work and a very unpleasant event that happened at work. I began to doubt myself and feel inadequette, even though I knew that I had not done anything wrong or unsupportive. What I was holding was others projections and energy. I found it at moments hard to be supportive of myself.
In these moments I took time to go within and repeated over and over again that I do the best that I can in any given moment, that I too am human and everyone makes mistakes. I care deeply about others and acting on this and from my heart/intuition is important. I heard myself say this over and over trying to hold back tears until I could shed them in the appropriate atmosphere. I did so at the end of the evening and got guidance from someone I really respect and love. I felt a lot better after this.
I was reminded today of how difficult self love is when I begin to doubt myself of get too caught up in the story of myself and especially others. Once I am able to step out and see the bigger picture, life is so much better–and self love comes with much more ease. Taking time to be with my emotions and acknowledging where I was today without judgement was a true act of self love.
