Well, it is a little after midnight and I am going to count this as my self love post for Thursday….:) It has been a long week and I have been moved to write about death. There has been a lot of personal loss in my life this past year as well as those I love and to whom are close to my heart.
I truly believe with death comes rebirth, whether it’s a death of an actual person, relationship or something that one does. The rebirthing process from the death I have found is often harder than the death itself. Finding myself in the aftermath and integrating it into my being seems to take the most energy of all.
In my life I have found that often something has to go in my life in order for there to be room for new life, growth and opportunity to come in. I have found that the most loving thing to do in this time is honor and be accepting of whatever it is that is going on as well as accepting where I am emotionally, physically and spiritually. I don’t feel like death is an ending but a new phase or stage…sinking its fibers into what has already existed before it, making ripples in time, space and heritage to be passed in years to come.
I ask myself the self love question of what deaths am I working with in my life? And what deaths do I need to welcome in the near future to come?
