Going to bed early = Self-Love

It’s 6:57 pm on Tuesday the 10th, and I’m going to bed as soon as I finish this post.

This is one example of self-love. I’m listening to my body and taking good care of it, even though my mind tells me to write on my book because I didn’t do any writing on it today.

I’ve got a cold, a sore throat, a runny nose and I’ve been sneezing. A good old-fashioned cold definitely needs rest to get better.

I think it’s a non-coincidence that I’ve been told by my acupuncturist to do my best to do less, and then my body gets a cold and I’m doing less!

This is not the first time I’ve gotten sick when I needed to slow down. My body seems to take over when it notices that I’m not being a good caregiver. I’m getting better at listening to my body’s messages, but I can tell there’s still room for improvement.

So, I’m letting all of you who are reading this post know how much I appreciate you taking the time to read these blog posts. I hope you’ll be moved to take action in loving yourself more this year. There are a million and one ways to do it. I look forward to hearing what steps you’re taking.
