Being in the moment

Today I have really been trying to live in the moment. I got a job offer of a lifetime and I am trying to figure out if it is the right time for me. I want to take it, but my heart tells me that I am not ready just yet. In time I will be but the personal work I am doing right now is more important. It is so difficult to tell myself this as I HAVE WANTED THIS JOB since I was 16 years old…and now I have the education to do so. Self-love has told me to be in the present moment today, listen to my intuition and know that the universe will take care of me. It is and all will be okay. I know that no matter what I choose to do and where I choose to go, love will follow and I will be okay—and flourish and find new and lasting community.

I often get afraid of change and it is very hard for me because of past events that have wired my brain that make it even harder—but this lesson I think is one of the most important of all—all we have is this moment—and in this moment there is so much possibility—and sometimes I have to tell myself to slow down, breath, trust and know that my truth will be shown at the exact right moment, not when I want or think it should.

Blessing and love,

1 Response to Being in the moment

  1. Lindsey,
Although your struggle with change is very personal, it is also universal. I admire you for listening to your intuition and trusting yourself to make the answer that you know is right for you, rather than rushing ahead.
Your current situation reminds me of one of my favorite quotes from Gloria D. Karpinski from her book WHERE TWO WORLDS TOUCH.
“During surrender we eventually give up the struggle itself. That may be the hardest release of all. We know how to struggle, how to survive by forcing ourselves to cope, and push through odds. What we don’t know is how to relax, to trust, to allow the universe to carry us.”
    Love and Blessings to you.
