What Would Love Do?

WWLD: What Would Love Do?

My granddaugher - Ninel.

I wrote this question today on my Facebook page. My intention was to do my best to be conscious of having love be my guiding force today.

I drove to work today in the afternoon. As I was nearing my office I saw a parking space on the other side of the street. There was a driveway I could turn into and then be in position to park. I put my turn indicator on and waited as a car drove up on the opposite side of the street. The young man in the driver’s seat slowed down and asked me something. I turned off the radio so I could hear him. He repeated, “Are you turning in so you can get that parking space?”

“Yes I am.” I responded. He smiled, and said, “Go for it.” Then he pulled forward and let me turn into the driveway and into the waiting space.

What a loving thing to do! Did he read my Facebook page today? If I had been conscious in that moment I would have done more than thanked him, I would have given him the space.

He gave me more than a parking space this morning. He gave me a moment of grace. He gave me time to remember that people can be generous and loving. He also reminded me of my intention for the day.

Thanks again whoever you are. I will pass it forward.

Have you had an experience of making a loving choice? I’d love to read about it. Send it to selflovejourney@gmail.com

  1. What Would Love Do?
Michelle and Emelina, you both are the definition of this question.
One day you stumble upon my post on the “You know you went to Randolph-Macon Woman’s College if” in desperate need of an internship because I am a senior trying to graduate but of course I don’t have enough credits to do so. You quickly contact me and Sondra Morris and just make things happen. What a loving and kind thing to do for someone in need. Michelle we met briefly over Skype but your demeanor was full of excitement to have me on board with the team. I am so grateful to you both for giving me this wonderful opportunity to better myself and to help others discover the self love way. You both have given me more than just an internship that will appear on my transcript. You’ve given me hope that there are people in this world who care more about each other than themselves.

    • 🙂 Thank you. 🙂 You are giving us so much by being a Love Warrior intern. It’s beyond exciting for the both of us. And your energy is an extra charge into the community. It’s exciting to see self-love energy spread and it’s exciting to see you spread it. 🙂

  2. I agree with Emelina, You are a blessing to us. Your love and enthusiasm is getting me excited all over again. Thank you for bringing your energy and passion to our Love Warrior Community. I’m so happy that you’ve joined us. Although I knew you needed an internship, I’ve always thought of you as helping Us, not the other way around. It seems we’re helping each other! That’s exactly what love would do! 🙂
I look forward to getting to know you better, I had my hands full with my granddaughter and cooking the day you were skyping with Emelina, but you were right in picking up on my excitement to have you on our team!
    Love, Michelle
