Self-Love Prayer for October

Self-Love — October 5, 2011

Today is the first day of my “re-entry to writing” plan. I’ve committed to writing a minimum of half an hour for at least 4 days a week for the rest of this month of October.

I’ve been successful with day one. I wrote my first Self-Love Prayer in 2004. I created a shorter self-love prayer this evening so I would be more apt to read it to myself in the mirror on a daily basis for the rest of this month. Here it is:

Good Morning Prayer

Good Morning Michelle,

I commit to love my body and myself this day.

I commit to love others today.

I commit to help others to love themselves.

I commit to take time today to sit quietly and spend time with God, and my higher self.

Because I love my body, I lovingly care for it.

I will move it, stretch it, strengthen it, feed it and rest it. I will bring it joy.

I commit to slow down and focus on taking in each breath as I bring the colors of the flowers into my soul.

Thank you body for all you do for me.

I love you.
