When reading the body love letters I realized how miraculous the body is. It is an amazing instrument that enables me to live my life to the fullest. Reading the body love letters reminded me to treat my body with love, so it can keep giving me love back.
Here are some examples of Body Love Letters:
Dear Body of Mine,
There’s a verse in a speech–turned–song calledWear Sunscreenthat readsEnjoy your body, Use it every way you can. Don’t be afraid of it or what other people think of it. It’s the greatest instrument you’ll ever own. When stripped of all the material aspects in our society, we are all equal in that we are breathing, living, thriving human beings. Our bodies are our most basic and advanced foundation for our lives. So Body, thank you for being so great. I will still love you when gravity takes its toll on you and the elements wither you away. I’ll try to keep you as strong and healthy as possible, because if you are strong and healthy, I will be, too. You are the greatest instrument I will ever own.
Dear Body and Soul,
How I love thee. A few years back I could not comprehend what loving you would look like, feel like, or experience such joy within you. I hated you, tortured you, over–worked, under–fed and beat you to the ground. I did not know how to listen to you, but now I have learned how. I am the master of my ship and life. Through patience and inner work I have learned to release pain, suspend judgment, criticism, and learned to be present in you with intimate connection, health, happiness and faith. I show you love through listening, getting enough rest, by nourishing my body with proper nutrition and my soul through connection, physical, mental and spiritual activity. I see now that you are truly my best friend; a gift and priceless gift on this Earth.
My loving body I wish you joy, love, soft lotion, hot baths/showers, warm sunny days filled with vibrant rainbow kisses, love, satisfaction, soreness from healthy exercise, foods with yummy textures, smells and heartfelt and intimate connection with a loving partner.
Your body and soul are one and deserve this kindness. You are re–writing your story and as we walk hand and hand know that great things are to come. Your love is my gift.
Blessings, love and light …
My body is my temple. My many freckles are what give my skin character. I love how you can’t cover them up with coverup. They represent youth and they are what make me, me.
