Just Do It! :)

Self–Love 3/21/11

I really like Nike’s Motto, “Just Do It”. I have taken that as one of my life Mottos. Whenever I’m feeling sluggish, or I’m having a hard time doing something, or acheiving a goal, the slogan, “Just Do It” comes to mind. And it really works. If you just do something, instead of putting it off, even if you’re not in the mood for it, you can get a lot done, you can become in the mood to do whatever it is you want to do, you may realize it’s a lot easier, not that bad, a lot of fun, and then you’ll start getting in the flow of consistency and productivity. Even if you don’t finish everything you want to complete, at least you made progress.

Today I had a good, “Just Do It” day. The night before I wrote down a list of things I wanted to get done, and right when I woke up, instead of ambling around for a while and waiting to wake up, like I usually do, I just started to do the things on my list.

The cool thing was that I woke up feeling kind of sluggish and unfocused, but after finishing the 4th thing on my list, I realized that my energy had changed and I was feeling really good. 🙂

Part of me still feels overwhelmed with everything I want and need to get done before I travel to the East Coast, but my self-love action for the day was to put away that worry and focus on one task at a time. 🙂
