I just finished my 2nd power point. I’ll be giving an hour and a half presentation at RECAMFT in Santa Rosa on March 11th. I’ve had my mind in the research mode for the last couple of days. Once I finished, I needed a change of thinking. Here is a sentence that came from somewhere on the right side of my brain.
Hello Body, you are full of surprises, unknown gifts, and startling changes, slow steady decline dripping with jewels, diamonds, and paper napkin drawings. The following flowed from here:
Sometimes my body surprises me with its beauty.
It offers me consistent dependable gifts I will never know or understand.
My body startles me with changes, seemingly instantaneous alterations, decades in the making.
This slow steady decline drips with jewels and diamonds, gifts only a life time can provide.
My sciatica is a new companion; it travels with me to fascinating distant locals, and revels in the Chi I bring to it with a smile.
My arms are preparing to hold my granddaughter when she is born, I can feel my heart stretching by incremental units of love in preparation for the explosion when she propels herself into this world.
Body Love, what a wondrous, fascinating journey you are guiding me through.
A labyrinth of love, morning consecration of my hands, a day by day commitment to love you more than the day before, a nightly massage with body love cream, a 100 day pledge to practice my Qigong, and a familiar encounter when my feet touch his each night before I go to sleep.
I’ve dedicated myself for the month of February to Body Love. Do you have Body love musings you’d like to share? Share them with me by commenting below.
