Body Love: 2/12/11
My daughter’s belly is round and smooth and beautiful. I gave her Body –Love cream yesterday. I made it with organic ingredients and instructed her to rub it into her belly, allowing the love to soak into her skin.
Last night we were listening to the Love Warrior music on my newly re–launched website. As Bruno Mars sang the lyrics, she’s so beautiful, and I tell her everyday … she said, “Mom, hurry, put your hand here!” I put my hand on her lower abdomen and felt my granddaughter move for the first time! My heart can hardly contain the love and anticipation of our first grandchild.
What a miracle our bodies are! When I stop and think about it, it’s hard to comprehend the process the body goes through to create another human being. It is truly miraculous.
Her stomach not only digests her food, bringing needed nutrients to her and her baby through her blood stream, it also moves out of the way to make room for my granddaughter.
I am a Love Warrior for my granddaughter. I pray that she savors her body every day of her life. I pray that she is aware of the gift it has given her to be able to walk on this earth, allowing her to offer her special gifts to our world. I pray that she will know that she is loved and loveable and deserving of all good things.
This is my prayer for you as well.
I invite you to write your body love musings for the month of February here by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The subject heading of the email will be the title of your post, and the body of your email will be the body of your post. Visit The Love Warrior Community.
