The EDRS (Eating Disorders Recovery Support) Conference was a success! We had Eating Disorder Professionals fly in from out of the area to present top notch issues.
#1 Mini Miracle: These well known professionals paid for their own air flight and hotel accommodations to present to us pro-bono for our eating disorder treatment fund!
#2 Mini Miracle: Adrienne Ressler, Immediate Past President of the iaedp(TM) (International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals) and the National Training Director for The Renfrew Center Foundation happened to be visiting a family memeber in the area, and came to the conference to speak pro-bono.
#3 Mini Miracle: The day before the conference I needed to transfer materials from one location to the next, but had no time. The universe cooperated, a client cancelled an appointment and I was able to get the urgently needed materials to the conference site.
#4 Mini Miracle: My daughter completed my new website, and it completely overwhelmed me. (In a good way!) There is a page in the Love Warrior section for Self-Love photography. When I saw all of the photographs I had sent her compiled in a gallery, I realized one of my dreams had materialized. I am able to use my creativity toward the goal of helping others love themselves! Next I clicked on the Love Warrior Portraits page. Non-airbrushed real people only! I was moved by the fact that she had created a Love Warrior Portrait page that counteracts the magazine images that have discouraged so many for too long. Tears came to my eyes.
#5 Mini Miracle: While drying myself off after a shower last week, I looked at my belly, and the following words slipped out of my mouth, “You’re beautiful.” I don’t know how or why I said those words to my stomach. I wasn’t consciously working with body acceptance or body love in that moment. I just was noticing how the soft shadow beneath my tummy made a beautiful curve, and my beauty struck me.
I wish the same for you. Let’s make February the month to focus on Body Love. I invite you to check out my new website, Self-Love and join the Love Warrior Community.
