Self-Love: Day 20
A lot of great and exciting things have been going on with school, work, and my family and friends. I felt like I was able to balance everything, but recently I have been saying yes a lot to socializing, which I was lacking earlier, and now I’m starting to feel overwhelmed with work. So, I’m still working on balance.
Today I started to worry and develop the time-rush mentality again. Instead of working my self to a pulp, when my brother came home and told me that he was going to the gym, I came a long. That was my self-love moment for the day. Allowing my self a relaxing break to get some movement into my day. I also brought one of the new books I’m reading, which is kind of work related, but still very intriguing, The Principles of Successful Freelancing. I love that book.
So, I just keep on telling myself not to stress, to relax, and to try my best to focus on whatever task is present. When I was in the car, driving to the gym with my brother, my thoughts were racing with lists of what I needed to do, but I told my mind to be quiet, and it helped. I need to focus on being in the present so I won’t let myself become overwhelmed with everything. It feels good when I do that, and I find myself able to be more productive, and able to relax more when I do.
