Self–Love: Day 16
Today is Sunday, and I’m going to the city with my husband! We’ve been invited to Teatro Zinzanni in San Francisco. This is a 5-course dinner/theatre experience. It’s interactive and very funny. We went to it once before, and had a great time. We’ll stay overnight in the city. I’m looking forward to this special date night.
When I went on my email last night I found out that there was a rescheduled EDRS (Eating Disorders Recovery Support) meeting today to help organize for our upcoming conference Feb.4th and 5th in Petaluma. (Check out www.edrs.net for more info)
I emailed the President of EDRS right away and let her know that I couldn’t make it because I already had plans to go away today. I noticed that my usual difficulty in saying “No” was absent! This is a very important meeting, and one that is close to my heart, and still – I was so clear what my priorities were, it made it easy. The interesting thing is that my old negative self talk, “What will they say if you don’t go?” was also absent. One of the gifts of Self-Love is clarity. Clarity makes decision making so much easier.
Having fun is part of Self-Love. Sharing that fun with someone you love makes it even better. I’m looking forward to share my day with my husband.
