Day 2 of the Self-Love Challenge

Self-Love Guided by SoulCollage®

I woke up this morning aware of today being the 2nd day of the Self-Love Challenge. Before getting out of bed, I thanked God for all of my blessings. My intention of self-love started with lighting candles at my altar, and choosing a SoulCollage® card for the day.

I chose the Anointed Hands card. This collage shows hands in repose, as well as a sliver of an image of a hand anointed with oils. It also has a girl looking directly at me, and a young African girl holding a bucket of water on her head.

Speaking from the images of the card gave me direction for today.

Image of the hands:

  • I am the one whose hands are in repose, resting, and restoring them.
  • I am the one whose hands are anointed with oils so that they can be of service to others.

Image of the direct gaze of the girl:

  • I am the one who looks into your soul, and calls you to love yourself.
  • I am the one who sees you clearly without judgment.

Image of young girl carrying the water:

  • I am the one who carries the water, so all can be refreshed.
  • I am the one who reminds you to drink fully in order to have strength to give to others.

The messages from my SoulCollage® card today revolve around balancing my self-care, with the care of others. An important ongoing self-love lesson I focus on is to balance quiet self-reflective time with doing things for others.

As I finish this writing, I have been able to do some work, go for a walk, have some quiet time, and have time with my family. I have been successful in having self-love be a focus of this day.

I invite you to join me in Daylle Deanna Schwartz’ 31 Days of Self-Love Challenge, and share your daily self-love actions here by emailing what self-love action you did today to: The subject heading of your email will appear as the title of you blog post, and the body of your email will appear as the body of your blog post, which will be posted here to be shared with the Love Warrior Community.
